Game 1: Pink 9 Black 4
What a week! Pink came into this week with the lowest point differential despite having some wins, and decided from the jump that we were going to limit turnovers and make an effort to cut into that point differential deficit with game 1. Limiting turnovers seemed to work in our favor as SEVEN different players scored goals in this game, with just under half of the assists coming from the Billy O’Bryan with 4. Our game 1 MVP ended up going to Max Overdevest after putting up 3 assists and 1 score, and owning the skies with 3 deep shot D’s.
Game 2: Pink 11 Green 7
In this one, Pink jumped out to an early lead, but credit to our opponent on a strong second half where they closed the gap in a big way. Billy once again led the team in assists with 3, however SIX different players threw at least one assist and FOUR players had more than one. Captain Joe had a nice outing with stats in every category, but our biggest play came from Andrew Reynolds with an incredible foot block that was even highlighted by their team post game as a game changer. The MVP of game 2 has to go to Devon Keyt who finally was able to take the field after a knee injury had him sidelined for the first few weeks. His high energy and effective cutting led to 5 goals in game two which was more than enough to put us over the top.
