Cars-in-a-line vs. Crown Royal
13-12 (Carolina wins)
The wind was heavy, the sun was shining, and it was one heck of a day for from frisbee! Even with both teams missing some players we came out ready to play hard. This was a game back and forth and who can get a break first. The wind caused a lot of risky throws and turn overs on both teams making it a challenging game. Royal did not make this an easy game by any means, they played an athletic game and challenged us with a working zone. Carolina played on our athleticism as well putting out a tight man defense and forcing their strong handlers to use their back hands rather than some juicy flicks. Royal ended up taking half with 7-8. Carolina came out wanting to grind for the second half taking two breaks in a row giving us an 11-9 lead. Royal didn’t take this lead lightly and fought to tie it up 12-12. At this point time was running out, and out final point hard cap was called. Carolina ended up scoring on this point, effectively ending the game and giving us the W. There were some questions on the ruling of this but following the closure of the game and conversing with out UTTERLY SPECTACULAR COMMISH. It was ruled we made the proper call.
*This game had was call heavy and had some spirit altercations. That being said both teams’ captains worked hard to keep spirits high on their teams and allow for a fun and competitive game of friz. The captains also worked hard to communicate with each other on rule questions and ensuring new players were educated on calls being made, their roles in the said calls, and what the proper rules were in their instances.*

CAROLINA SHOUTOUTS
- Brennen: Leading this team in scores and Ds!! Really brought this fire today and stepped up to help the captains lead the team and keep the motivation to grind up! Whoooo Brennen!
- KBo: Our fearless leader really brought her A-game on defense in the second half to help lead the team to victory!
- Jared: Leading this team in assists and still playing with cut on his hand (No worries saw him afterwards and even after Sundays game it seems he will get to keep his finger…. What a lucky duck)
- Trey, Scott, Todd, Joe: new to league but you wouldn’t know it watching them play!! Each of these guys involved in several of our assists, scores, and Ds! Ya’ll crush it all the time and are straight ballers!! Keep on grindin VROOM VROOM!
- Lauren: This girl is improving on her game each time I see her play! Her tight defense and strong marks made it where Royals ladies had to grind to get open or get a disc around her! Love having strong women like Lauren on a team!!
ROYAL SHOUTOUTS
- Joel… Dude never drops a disc… to the point you question if he has super glue on his hands or a magnet… I don’t know the kid is crazy! Just a note for defenders of Joel… if it looks uncatchable, he will catch it, so you better stay on him no matter what.
- Lauren: the girl is tall and plays some smart O. She may be new to Gville but she is not new to some frizz strategy! Made us work on defense each time she was on the field! P.S. watch her in that deep space O.o
- Captains JRod and Brandon: 1. You both lay one heck of frisbee game (#facts) but thank you for working through all calls, rule questions, and other captain stuff through the whole game! Love you guys and it is always a pleasure to meet you on Citizens Field.
