What a skeleton crew this week. We had some experienced players on the bench with injuries or out of town so the lines were tight. The first half was ROUGH but each player ran hard the whole time. Black scored twice in the the first half both by Ryan Jones assisted by Kelsea!! Over the break we refigured and chose to run a HO-stack instead to get more movement on the field. This proved to be a bit more successful with three scores out of half, one by newbie Hunter Mackenzie, our girl Joanna Barousse, and the one and only Vishnu Pragash. Everyone was completely worn down by the second half and we ended the game 5-15…. but as Scott Knight said “It wouldn’t be a comeback story if we win every game…” I couldn’t agree more. Be on the lookout for Black to COME BACKKK. (Back in Black & Emo never dies). We have a great team who encourage each other on and off the field, supporting each other from afar when they couldn’t make it…which is what it’s all about, amiright?? Proud to be captaining this team and excited for the season!
