On the beautiful Fall day that was last Sunday Jukebox took on Zach and Michelle’s team (Workshop) as well as Danny and Schimmel’s team (Shanny). We continued our streak on losing the first game and winning the second, but we had a great time in both games.
In our first game, we took the L to Workshop with a score of 9-7. One positive of this game was that our stat sheet was spread out all around the board. Brian and Nathanial both were beasts on defense, and Nathanial also dropped numerous dimes. Our MVP for this game, however, has to go to Ellie. Ellie had a whopping three scores and also had numerous D’s. Long story short she kept us in this game and is a huge reason as to why the score was still close. On Workshop, the handlers of Adub, Zach, and Michelle were very hard to stop even in the wind. Kay also was very good at finding space and getting open. Our team now sees why their name is workshop, as they “worked” the disc very well (I’ll see myself out).
In our second game we played team Shanny, and started out extremely hot. We took this one 11-6, and a lot of Jukebox players had great games. Nathanial, Will, Evan, and Joe were successfully slinging it, and Spencer, Hannah, Katherine, and Chris were successfully carving up the defense. Shanny also had a lot of great players with experience, and started playing a lot better in the second half.
Overall it was a great week for Jukebox and we will focus on trying to win both games in the same week very soon!
