The teams that were formerly known as Shanny and the Willing Possibilitiesare back (unlike Texas Football)! After posting an 0 and 2 record in week 3 against some solid teams (Jukebox and the Mud Dogs), the Mysterious Meerkats posted our first 2-0 week this season!!!
As this is doubling as our week 3 and 4 updates, we will keep it short for week 3… as the light at the end of the tunnel for this week was a lukewarm Sunday Morning leftover Natural Light half-finished on the kitchen counter next to a half chewed on cold pizza. We had a fun week, but injuries and the lack of music kept our scoring to a minimum. However, even when we lose…we still had a blast and everyone on the team was ready to showcase our true selves the following week (aka Week 4). Danny G 1 (as we have two Danny G’s on our team) was the MVP of the week with his graceful D’s and his stellar first steps… he might be one of the most elusive individuals in the league! Congrats to Danny Gallagher!
Turning the tide for week 4, we WENT UNDEFEATED against some stacked teams in Tax and the Marsh Mermaids! Our chemistry (Shout out to Summer) finally came together. Our initial van der Waals bonds have been slowly turning into covalent bonds in just a matter of a few weeks. I would absolutely hate to be playing us anytime for the remainder of this season. Helping us get to this point was for sure the addition of Jules as our catalyst. So you already know who this week’s MVP is after that statement… shout out to her non-dominant assists and break-side scoobers. Congrats and Welcome to Jules!
