GAME ONE OH YEAH
The manatees (manadeez hucks) (deez nuts) showed up ready to play with a strong 10 ready to ball out, when we looked across the field and saw a whole swarm of butterflies, ready and rearing to go. Without notable figures: Sterling, Van, Tessa, and Steven (also Evan) (please answer my group me poll guys. I get sad) we started on O, to unfortunately be callahaned by Jacob. Where he even came from I have no idea. Our unlucky streak would continue and butterflies soared ahead to take half. But deez hucks persisted and stars, Mathew Stock and Sam Weiler, each put up an impressive 3 Ds each! Our bad luck streak ended with a beautiful pass from Manny (I think?) to Dr Anton, putting us on the board! Another perfect pass from Matt to Max (I think this is what happened idrk) gave us our second score! At some point during this game I think Max also got a D in there (maybe on Zach? That would be cray).
While notable figures on butterflies like Zach, Michelle, Jacob, and Naomi (who saw these ones coming guys) tore up down field, Karl and Ashley soared through the air to put up multiple scores. Guys icl. zone gets to me every time (not cool pls stop running z) Unfortunately, deez hucks couldn’t stop the grind of the butterflies and they won by like 9 points (womp womp). But it’s whatever cuz we moved to field 1 (i hate field 1) to ball out against grey bats (who picks grey as their team color. seriously guys)
GAME TWO WOOO WOOOO
Someone decided to start the game 5 minutes early and I was busy yapping away to purple team so I missed the flip (oopsie mb) but we lost I think 🙁 .
We started and scored the first point (oh yeah!); this game went a lot better for us, and we kept up our super awesome energy, even when Andrew Cory kept skying us (wow very tall). This game’s mvp has gotta be Mr Matthew stock. Bro put up 4 assists, a score, and a D. Also shout out to Sam who balled out with 3 scores and 3 Ds and an assist! He also had a cool play but I can’t remember what it was (it was prob really fire tho) In this game I saw some BALLER movement and we really picked up the pace. My Queen Abbie absolutely LAUNCHED both hucks and pulls, and was tearing it up in the handler space. Chris Falk had a crazy saving D, wow he really snagged that one. AND our rookie (rookie of the season?) Esmeralda had a HUGE D!!!!! I was so hype for that one.
Alas, while we were absolutely shredding up more holes in field 1, the power of Billy, Rosie, Andrea, and Andrew, among others, was just too much for the poor manatees. Nic Bainter had to have had like 1000 skies and he always managed to sneak into the endzone. Also. I thought Thomas was hurt. why did this guy walk on the field. Bro was in sneakers and still managed to ball out. (I heard him complaining about his ankles later tho). I gotta be completely honest, I thought Rosie and Aiden were going to take my bribe of 2 boxes of cookies to bench Billy for the rest of the game. I was being so serious too. Rosie really considered, but unfortunately Billy kept playing and balled out. While we did lose 7-11, I had a great time, and spirits were super high the whole time.
Everyone just wait, cus when we got the whole gang together, Deez Hucks is going to be unstoppable. If only Evan and I could show up the same weeks…. Hopefully I see my Co-capt at some point this season! While I’m taking my temporary leave, I have faith in my manatees, we bout to absolutely SWIM through everyone (watch out). Anyways, this is my last report for a while, and I’ll see you all July 9th (#worldtraveler). I’ll miss every single one of you personally.
