A sinking ship, a Mutiny awaits!

Avast, me hearties! Gather ’round as I spin ye yet another tale of the high-flying antics on the deck of the Skying Dutchmen in this week’s frisbee skirmish! The heavens above be as gloomy as Davy Jones’ locker, and the rain be unleashing its fury upon the seas of Citizens. Aye, many a brave soul abandoned ship, our captains included, forsaking the less than fair conditions this day. But fear not, for eight bold sailors, four fair maidens and four strapping lads, dared to defy the tempestuous weather and set forth to engage in a fierce contest against the fearsome Yzma. The frisbee be their trusty compass as they navigated the turbulent skies with the grace of seasoned buccaneers. With wind in their sails and rain-soaked decks beneath their feet, the crew of the Dutchmen faced off against the opposition. The clash of discs echoed through the stormy air like cannon fire, and each throw be a daring maneuver in this seafaring frisbee saga.

The scorecard told a grim tale as we found ourselves down five points, aye, 5-0, before we could even muster a response. But fear not, for in the face of adversity, a marvel occurred! Steven, with the prowess of a seasoned sea dog, unleashed a wondrous hammer across the tumultuous skies. ‘Twas a sight to behold as Jess, was knocked off the beams of the ship from a bolting cannon from Yzma, drawing a foul, she called the call and was able to walk it out with a swagger worthy of the Seven Seas. Then, with a flick that could rival the finest cutlass, she divvied the disc to Mills, who planted the Dutchman’s flag with our first score of the day.  But alas, the tide was not in our favor, and Yzma had us by the scruff of our necks. Bowlin and Floyd dominating the sea with assists and D’s left and right, blowing the wind from our sails. Skool and Michelle handled the gold with care daring not to drop a single disc in the trench below. The roaring Rosema, the shivering Schults, and the defying Dickens, fully took advantage of our sinking ship and scoring with ease, arrrrr.  The half-time bell tolled with a scoreline that spoke of our struggles – 8-2 in favor of the ruthless enemy. The Dutchmen, though battered and bruised, vowed to fight on, for a pirate’s spirit knows no surrender.

As the rain howled and the skies grew darker than the abyss below, our valiant crew showcased their mettle. It be a spectacle of skill and bravado, a testament to the indomitable spirit of these frisbee-wielding mariners. The score be but a whisper of the fierce spirit and grit displayed by our crew. Mills, Emory, Sam, and Jill toiled like sea-weary horses; their efforts akin to hoisting the mainmast in a raging storm. With sweat upon their brows and determination in their eyes, they worked the deck with the tenacity of true buccaneers. Mills, a force to be reckoned with, unleashed the fury of a tempest with every throw. Emory, Sam, and Jill, like loyal shipmates, fought tooth and nail, their every move echoing the thunderous waves crashing against the ship’s hull. Vander and Ani, true scallywags of the highest order, were in the midst of the fray, grinding and battling with the ferocity of sea monsters. The frisbee field be their sea, and they navigated its challenges with the cunning of seasoned pirates. The grind be real, me hearties, and these two be the anchors holding the Flying Dutchmen steadfast in the tempest. In the latter part of the skirmish, we enlisted the likes of Wyatt to bolster our ranks. Alas, the winds of fortune did not favor us, and even with Wyatt’s addition, the situation be as tumultuous as a maelstrom. As for Steven, that scallywag attempted to hook the disc downfield with the ferocity of a kraken’s tentacle. Alas again, the outcome be a cruel jest played by the fates, for his attempts were met with naught but empty hands, like treasure slipping through the fingers of a careless pirate.

This tale of woe that befell our undermanned vessel in the clash against the formidable Yzma and their scallywag crew finished in defeated as a Texas 10-4. Our ship, short on hands and hearts, proved no match for the rankings of these treacherous foes. In the end, whether victory or defeat, the Flying Dutchmen’s crew stood tall, soaked to the bone but unbowed. The frisbee league be a treacherous sea, but these pirates of the sky sailed through the storm with the grit of true buccaneers.

But wait mateys before I leave, I need to inform ye that whispers of Mutiny are gripping the ship. Our captains, in their supposed wisdom, have once again led us astray, leaving the crew marooned in the depths of our first defeat. The winds of fortune did not favor our sails, and a shadow darker than the black spot loomed over the Flying Dutchmen. In the face of such dire circumstances, the crew has convened in the dead of night, whispers of discontent echoing like ghostly cries across the ship. The ship be in turmoil, but the heart of a pirate burns with the fire of rebellion. Through the tumultuous seas of mutiny, we shall navigate to calmer waters, and there, under the black flag, the Dutchmen shall rise again! Arr, may the wind fill our sails as we chart a new course, free from the folly of failed captains. Yo-ho-ho, mutiny awaits!
