Game 1 Turtles v Manatees

Although the turtles show up early and ready to warm up, our shell is incomplete with multiple of our players out of town. This was a high risk game versus the Cow of the Sea for the most dominant aquatic animal in League. However, with his turtle debut Carsten proved to us all that turtles walk, swim, but also fly with multiple layouts for scores and Ds. Although all the turtles played amazing the highlights came from the CCCCs. Caio, Carsten, Clyde and their chemistry. They connected for over half of the scores leaving the Manatees SHELLSHOCKED.
The Manatees stayed close behind with stand out performances from Esmeralda who has proven how effective she is in the short ball, and Van forcing the turtles to guard the deep space. We must also recognize the dynamic duo of Sterling and Stephen that stabilized the Manatees in the windy conditions.
Game 2 Turtles v Panthers
WIN
The foot race was on! The windy conditions led to a game filed with breaks and bad decisions! With the power of a small JBL speaker, the teenage mutant ninja turtles soundtrack, and the Travaglini children on the side line the turtles continued to crawl to a double victory week. Nobody expected Clyde to surpass his performance against the Manatees, but Clyde was hungry for some bookends and continued to amaze both teams. Dustin + Brandon + Twin combo became a staple in the turtles backfield giving a perfect mix of hucks and small ball for the turtle offense. With the windy weather the turtles decided for a slow and steady zone, with standout player Kiana that continued to improve and became our best player in the cup.
The panthers fought hard and decided to combat the teenage mutant ninja turtles soundtrack with some inspiration from the hit song U CAN’T TOUCH THIS, by MC HAMMER. It was Hammer Time and the panthers threw so many hammers that they broke the Turtle Zone and forced us back into man.
