Team Bryde
Game 1: We started out with very few people on the field. Team Bryde had 8 guys and no female matching ladies. Max and Tommy’s team only had 4 people total to start and no ladies at all. So, Team Bryde used their textbook offensive skills to jump out to an early 6-1 lead. At this point both teams had more players show up. For us Caroline came strolling in and immediately made her impact felt. She came in tossing some assists as well as scoring a few. The rest of the team did an excellent job to move the frisbee down the field by sharing the disc and getting everyone on the stat sheet. After the early lead we kind of coasted and traded scores back and forth. The ending was a lot more respectable then how the early portion of the game went. Final score 11-7.
Game 2: From the jump we knew we would be playing down a person on the non gen zone portion of the field since Caroline was our only lady. Even though Asa and Anton offered to let us play with 7 players, we happily declined their offer and played 6 on 7 for much of the game. We did ourselves no favors by digging an early 0-3 hole. We would then trade scores until we got to half 3-6. Shout out to Alek for laying his body on the line. He came into the game already at 40% capacity due to a back injury, and still was able to sacrifice his body and pull down an amazing score in traffic. The wet weather and sloppy field conditions, coupled with playing down really hurt our efforts to mount a comeback. Asa and Anton’s team laid the smackdown on us in the second half which allowed us to be the first teams to finish and get a head start on getting home and getting dry. Final score 3-11
Overall, our team is solid up and down the roster and once we are at full strength the league will be in trouble. Big thanks to Caroline for playing every point and giving maximum effort while doing so.
