Royal started off Week 2 against the brightly colored Pink team. We made this our second win of the season, with a final score of 8-4.
This game was played in much windier conditions then last week’s games, which revealed a new (sometimes less fun) element of frisbee to our rookies, who did great once again. Katie and Kay did great work in the cup, and Jared was great about communicating how to fill lanes and cover people from his position in the deep space.
Pink made us work hard, with their handlers taking their time and finding open spaces, while not being afriad to take shots.
Our MVP this game was Adub, who led the team in D’s and assists (and hockey assists) while adding his first score of the season.
Max played well for Pink, as he helped facilitate offense and keep the disc moving against a stiff zone and wind combo.
