Well, it was a bit of a tough week for Royal, going 0-2. But we had some fun doing it at least.
Game 1 was against Green, known as Sage. They came out swinging, breaking us 3 times in a row to start the game. Drops were our biggest enemy, but certainly influenced by Sage’s energy. We entered half down 2-6, but clawed our way back and had a chance to tie it at 7-8 before falling behind to lose 8-11. Jared was our MVP this game with 6 assists, calmly handling it up and down the field. Fletcher had 3 goals, and Dalton and Katie added some timely D’s.
Game 2 was against Carolina – this one was tightly contested the whole way, with Carolina eventually winning 8-10. We had contributions from everyone on the roster, with Phil grabbing a D (with both hands!), Kay and Ian both scoring twice, and Jared with another 3 assists. Shoutout to Carolina for a great game, and especially Michelle for bailing out some poor throws with great hands.
On to next week!
