Orange Pinky

So Pink is a good team. Like, really good. Like they might take it all good. And we hung with them until 10. In fact, we came out hot, and if it weren’t for a few silly turns in the beginning (several perpetrated by yours truly), I think we could have been in a better position going into half. We were basically on serve until 10s, and then it just got away from us. We were getting tired, and they were gellin’ like magellan.

A couple shoutouts. Kentucky Matt was an absolute sleeper dark horse and was laying out like a boss all game. Also, his kid had a SICK ninja outfit on, so they’re both pretty awesome in my book. Emily Khazan crushed as the only other female matching player alongside Nes, and punished us several times for not guarding her close enough. On our team, I wanna give props to the whole team (love playing with you all, but specifically to our resident noob, Ash, for running his butt off out there and working hard to learn fast and contribute. This man will be a force.

On a spirit scale, I’d put this game as an 11. This was a phenomenally fun game to play, and both teams acquitted themselves admirably. We might not have come home with the W but I’m still super proud of our team. We fought until the end. If we’re gonna be contenders in the playoffs, we’re hoping to have a limber and healthy Tommy Akin, and the quick cuts and good heads up play of Devon Keyt was sorely missed this last week.

Pink was close to full power this week and it showed. They’re a SUPER solid squad, and you won’t lose a game of ultimate to a nicer group of folks. See you in the playoffs, Pink!
