Coming into week 4 the Juke Box Heroes found themselves with a nice even record of 3-3. We had lost the first game and won the second game three weeks in a row. Could we keep the streak alive?
Game 1: Juke vs Muddawgs
5-11
I can’t say much more about how good and experienced this Mud Dawg team is. Although they only had 7 players show up to play they were all very solid and a joy to play against. Bonnie lead the game with 4 scores and was eating us up. School is always a solid handler and Larissa is always open. Clyde the glide is easily one of the coolest and calm handlers in the league and had 3 assists in the game. Both Ben’s had 2 assists and Eric lead them with 2 Ds! This team knew what they wanted to do and went out and did it. Juke Box unfortunately didn’t have as many highlights as we wanted but we all knew our second game is the one we prepare for the most. Katherine did secure her second goal of the season and is quickly learning the ins and out of Ultimate!
Game 2: Juke vs HoD
6-11
Coming into Game 2 we wanted to shake off the first loss and prepare to keep our game 2 winning streak alive. This game started pretty close but soon became out of reach. I truly believe when HoD has a full roster they will be tough for anyone to beat. Steven and Jenny are amazing and put it to us all game. The trio of Dan, Kellie, and Timmy is a force to be reckoned with. Evan probably has the best pulls in the league as they sail oh so beautifully through the sky. Oh yeah add on Bari and you have another experienced and disciplined team. Onto Juke Box, I don’t think Brian has dropped a pass all season, his cuts and sure hands are a blessing to have each week. He secured 2 scores and a D against his former coach! Chris Oster has been so consistent for us every week and helps out in every aspect. JP is our team’s second-leading scorer and always finds open space in the end zone. Jeffrey Burdette always finds a way to get open! Ellie recorded another score and a D in each game so look out for her on the leaderboards as she is becoming our defensive anchor. We, unfortunately, lost our Lose 1 Win 1 streak but look forward to coming out hot after the bye week!!!
