Carolina was dominant in both games this week. With an 11-3 win over Team Sage to start followed by an 11-4 win over the Orange Orangutan Team. This is a change from Carolina’s previous weeks where the largest lead was our 4 point win over Orange in Week 2, and our highest scoring game was a 9-6 win over Pink.
This difference was ignited by the addition of Nate this week. If you haven’t seen this kid play yet you need too. The difference he makes is easily summed up in his stat line from the game against the Orange Orangutans, 5 assists, 1 score, and 3 Ds, with ZERO turns.
Our ladies played savage both games, but Michelle and Natalie both showed why they are consistently some of the first ladies drafted in league as they killed it! Natalie led the team is scores wracking up 7 of them in our two games. Michelle was a consistent force behind the disk helping us break through whatever defenses Sage and Orange Orangutan tried to throw our way.
Mac, Rainer, and Chip continued to produce consistent scores in both games while Chris, Nick, and Nate proved to be a nasty defensive squad and generating a lot of our turns.
Shea and Zach had a bit of an off day. With some stupid throws and sup par handler movement which we are going to blame on us both being injured. But Tomas, Nate, Nick, Chris, and Mac stepped it up alongside Michelle to keep the disc moving along the field at ridiculous speeds.
Shoutout to Cooper and Evan on Sage for some great offensive plays and catching us off guard. We love when we taunt “not a thrower” only to see Evan throw a gorgeous 3/4 field huck for a score…
Nathaniel, Ben, and Kyle are a solid group for disc movement on Orange and should not be underestimated. Orange has 5 phenomenal ladies between Alex, Milani, Amanda, K-bo, and Emily. They really gave Natalie and Michelle as much of challenge as anyone can in league.
We are looking forward for our chance at redemption against Yellow next week, with the addition of Nate it will be a different game.
