Red v Blue
I allowed too much time to elapse and now my poor addled dad brain has misplaced the details of last week’s game, so I wrote a fun little rhyme based around what I do remember.
You couldn’t have asked for nicer weather
When the Red team faced off with Nasty Heather
And both teams acquitted themselves with pride
and many a person by Oye was skied
The spirit was strong and the good vibes were crispy
I’ve rarely had a better time playing frisbee
So thanks to both teams for a hell of a time
The discing last Sunday was truly sublime
And while Heather came out with the win in the end
I’m not terribly sure we could do it again
Cause the Red team is fierce and the red team is wise
Them winning the trophy won’t be a surprise
So props to all players wearing both red and blue
Because everyone’s spirit was showing through and through
And I hope that you all had more of the same
Cause that’s one game I’d love to play through again
