Week two was a bit tougher than week one. I blame the gnat I inadvertently snorted while running down the field, Jill blamed the taco grease all over her hands, Drew Ward blamed his boss, but no matter the cause it was just hard for white to ‘show up’. Week one was a better match. Cardinal is a sinfully stellar contender and we hope to bring it in week three.
Cardinal is a young, tall, athletic team with huge smiles and equally huge hucks. Most of our youth is on the sideline in diapers and pull ups. We tried some sequences which helped a bit, we tried man, we tried zone, but by second half we were wrecked and sadly tequila played no part. Thankfully we have devoted staticians on our team who tallied each score against us dutifully and honestly. I foresee Cardinal really killing it all season.
White MVP was Fletcher for scoring lots of goals & so many assists, and at least one really memorable D, but mostly for always smiling.
