Game 1: Pink 13 Carolina 12
This week was the Summer ’22 Rain Game. After waiting out the weather, and holding a few straight line races just in case we weren’t able to play (which Pink swept), we finally got to take the wet field and face our only opponent for the evening. David Cromer set the tone early with an impressive layout D to save a drop right on the goal line (maybe it was a dropped pull, maybe it wasn’t) from being disastrous. Pink took a commanding halftime lead of 7-4 and we were feeling confident.
Confidence bought us nothing but an 8-8 tie after half. 4 assists each from Billy OBryan and Captain Joe led the game, while Devon, Billy, David and Max all had multiple scores to keep us afloat. In the end, we kicked back up the effort to steal the lead back and win on universe with MVP level efforts from Billy, Joe, and David to lead us to a huge victory.
