13-15, Oh Craps
Similar to last week, Texas really brought their A-game. Once again, Steven “Huckster” Nguy was leading the assist category with 5 absolutely phenomenal throws. Justin, Joseph, and Summer followed not too far behind with 2 assists each. Daniel was also a significant contributor to the team with his consistent handling skills and 1 assist. Leading the D category was Defensive Daigle (Adam), Andre, and Summer with two Ds each. Not far behind was Jenny, Lindsey, Ricky, and Steven who each had a D as well. For scores, Jenna and Ricky were just forces that could not be stopped both on the board with 3 scores each. Andre, Eryan, Jenny, Manny, and Steven were not far behind with a score each as well.
Shoutout to Justin for his astounding catches. Summer threw him a tomahawk throw that he caught and also a huge huck that he managed to jump and catch. Shoutout also to Jenna who had her first assist of the season!! Her toss was about to be D’d when Ricky came in to dive for the disc and was also able to score—what a play!
The other team also had some amazing plays. Bonnie, Ellie, and Nes all made some awesome scores. It was wonderful to play against these FMPs and to see them have such a strong presence on the field 😎. It was also great to Big Ben Chapin back playing frisbee post-biceps fix. Welcome back, Ben!
It’s hard to say which play was my favorite. Summer did a super cool matrix move during a defensive play in an attempt to not get run over by Brad (hint: the attempt was successful). Steven, however, managed to jump and catch a D’d disc in the end zone. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen Steven horizontal on the field like that—it was amazing that it was for a score!
Next week, we play JAK pot. Texas has a good feeling about this upcoming game!
