Week 4 (Very Late) Captains Report
Red Team v. Black Team
Outcome: Red 14 – 10 Black
This was a TOUGH game. Red team started the game with one player on the bench, but an injury that happened at the beginning of our game cleared our bench and left us with no subs for the day. Hot weather and exhaustion were going to be the big challenges of the game for Red, but we kept pushing through. The game stayed close for most of the day before we were able to take a few breaks and ultimately finish the game 14-10. With only seven players, consistency was key, and I could not be prouder of the fight that my players put up to pull out a win this game.
I cannot praise my team enough for the heart and drive they brought to this game. Clyde absolutely POPPED OFF on stats with SEVEN assists for this game. Joe racked up a solid FIVE scores plus three more assists. Carsten and Speedy showed once again that they are veteran players who make the right calls consistently. BUT…..
Our red team week four MVP goes to ELLIE THOMSON. Three scores, Three blocks, AND she played the whole game with no rest points. A champ. I have seen such ENORMOUS growth from Ellie over the past few seasons and I could not be more proud to watch her play the way she played in this game.
