Purple managed to take down the undefeated Royal on Saturday and succesfully ruined everyone’s pick ’ems. Go us!! The game was a blast with great spirit and play from both sides throughout. The only blemish on an otherwise great afternoon was A-Dub aggravating a calf injury and having to sit out the majority of the second half.
Standouts for Royal:
-Joel had a seemingly endless supply of ridiculous layouts to save possession for his team.
-Fletch seemed to catch every disc that was even remotely tossed in his direction and was a monster in the air.
Standouts for the Grapes (There’s a lot :)):
-KJ was dominant out there! Multiple layouts and great throwing all game long.
-Ben had several big sky D’s on Royal’s deep looks. Really using his height well.
-Christine constantly found the space to break their zone!
-In case you haven’t noticed yet, Timmy DePaul is a big person. Larj.
-I managed to overthrow Cody Clayson! This is an impressive feat because Cody is literally the flash and more than half our first half points were just throwing the disc towards the endzone and having Cody out run the entire field.
