Week 3 of plays has been great for the Black team (AKA Lights Out)!
We faced the Carolina team first where both teams had great plays that led to a really tight and competitive game. Their team was great offensively with their captain Shae who left his body on the field and caught everything thrown to him. Their ladies were really strong too and had some crazy plays like Natalie catching a crazy hammer pass in the wind. Our team also did great and adapted very well to the wind. We had some great deep plays to Emory and Alison. Thomas also had great defensive plays and was always on his guy. Overall a great game which Carolina ended up winning by 1 point. Cannot wait to play this team again and see how they have adjusted in the playoofs.
We faced Texas Orange afterwards and although this team is very young, that is not to say they are not experienced. They had great defensive plays and great throws that showed off their runners athletic abilities. Alex, Ben and Nathaniel’s handling was amazing and their girl Emily had a great defensive play as well. Our team struggled more against this team and most of our plays were deep throws which did end up working. Jill caught a great huck, toeing the endzone line and Emory and Alison were also always there to help out on under/deep throws. Also, shout out to Chris for amazing pulls all day as well as Joe for always being open in the endzone. Vishnu also shoed great versatility in both the handler and cutter spots and I can’t wait to see what else our team can bring this season.
Overall it was a good week and we cant wait to play these teams again soon!
