Game 1 against Yellow was a great start to the season for Royal. Yellow was the victor, winning 9-7, but Royal played well together and laid a great foundation to work on for the season.
Royal was led by handlers Adub and Jared, who helped facilitate scores all over the field (unfortunately for Adub, hockey assists are not a stat). Our ladies, led by the wonderful Katie Chase, made great cuts all over the field and made our handlers’ lives much easier.
Our MVP this game was Dalton, who played great defense throughout the game on a tough assignment and ended up with a bookend, smacking a huck out of the air and cleaning it up for an easy score on the other end.
Yellow was led by Luke Alexander, who was a consistent deep threat and scoring machine that kept our defense backpedaling throughout the game.
Great game Yellow!
