We had a rough and not so fun week and there isn’t much to say on the positive side of things for any teams involved, thus this is the “I’m just here so I won’t get fined (pied)” captains’ report.
Game 1 was a loss to the undefeated Frisboos. Jacob was the Ghost of the Game as we threw several dump passes directly to him.
Game 2 was a repeat of my team’s meltdown last season to Nathan and Bailey. We made stupid mistakes that started with Jared and I throwing several terrible hucks on the first point of the game. Nathan was unstoppable for much of the game, despite good defensive positioning from both Pat and myself, he still managed to catch all the garbage thrown his way. It seemed like everyone on Best Friends got a turn at hucking it to Nathan, with most of them being completed. We started to mount a comeback but would run out of time due to hardcap (please no more hardcap on the last game of the day), scoring the last goal of the game 9-10.
Liz played really well and was on the receiving end of several of my not-so-crappy hucks.
