There’s really not much to say here. The final was 7-15. Bowlin’s team was in control for both the first and second half. We were plagued with drops, bad throws and bad decisions. The one mitigating factor is that we were not very healthy. Jill was ill while Evan, Josh, and Brycen were all injured. We aren’t sure what’s up with Fleming. We haven’t seen him this season, and I have ordered that we start checking the hospitals in north central Florida. I guess the gentle breeze could have been a contributing factor as well.
As for Brandon’s team, they shredded us when we tried to zone them with excellent use of their handlers and a popper or two. We had our most success when they attempted to zone us, so I’m thinking that the weather needs to be a bit worse to break it out. In the end, we made a lot of mistakes that they didn’t. Other than that, it was a good game. Spirit was just fine, and I don’t think there was too much whining for either side. The most important thing is that we had fun, even in defeat. Heck, a good number of us hung out after the game which is something I’ve certainly missed.
