Alas, the regular season comes to an end, and not in the fashion the Lucky Rollers had hoped. While they fought hard, and never gave up hope, the season-long plague of running out of steam prevailed in Wednesday’s matchup against JAK Pot. The Rollers started the day off well, taking half 8-6. But some miscommunications and fatiguing legs turned the advantage back over to JAK Pot, as they went on a break train out of half, finishing their come back over the Rollers, resulting in the Rollers 5th loss of the season 12-15. It is clear the Lucky Rollers have what it takes to go toe-to-toe against every team in the league. This claim is made evident by their near positive point differential, despite being 2-5. Today’s effort was led once more by Drew Wright, continuing his impressive league debut with 7 assists and 2 scores to boot. Liz Rosema had a great game, putting up 4 scores on the day, leading the team. Despite the loss, the Lucky Rollers continue to generate a lot of turns for opposing offenses through the curation of a unique zone scheme, brought together by Tyler Rogers. The Rollers aren’t backing down easily, and look forward to next week’s beginning of playoffs.
