Gainesville Youth Ultimate
Vision: Born from Eastside High School, Gainesville Youth Ultimate is a youth club team now open to all middle and high school students at any skill level. Our goal is to inspire future ultimate frisbee players and foster the ultimate community in Gainesville. We hope to create the next generation of League ballers and introduce the game to those who have never played the sport. Our mission is to create a welcoming environment and have a fun time teaching and playing Ultimate. With COVID-19, the youth Ultimate scene almost completely disappeared. But, Gainesville’s youth scene remained strong and persisted through. Youth frisbee has been on the comeback in Florida, and we hope to grow stronger every year. After all, children are the future!
Accomplishments: State Champions 2022, 2023, 2024
How to Get Involved
Player Interest: Practices are open to all middle and high schoolers! We practice on Sundays from 10am to 1pm at Citizens Park. Players over the age of 13 are also encouraged to sign up for the GNV ULTY rec league which happens directly after youth practice at Citizens Park from 2pm – 5pm.
Contact Us: For more information on how to get involved contact one of our awesome captains at gnvulty.youth@gmail.com
How to Support GNV ULTY Youth
Fundraising: Our Annual Holiday Hatter fundraiser occurs in December each year and is our main source of bringing in funds for Gainesville Youth Ultimate! This fundraiser helps supplement jersey costs and provides funds for bid fees to attend tournaments throughout the year. The past two years we’ve raised over $1400 for the team. We want to give a sincere thanks to everyone who attends and helps to support our team!
Donation: Giving a donation to the GNV ULTY Youth program provides opportunities for league scholarship, youth team jerseys, and access for youth to experience the community and sport of ultimate. With access and inclusivity as priority for GNV ULTY Youth, our hope is to have a community of giving to help continue this sport for many generations to come. If able and interested in giving, you can make a donation of any amount via venmo to: @gainesville-ultimate with the description of “Youth Donation”.
