Purple Narrowly Defeats Green Team

In a shocking turn of events, Devon is guaranteed to not go winless during the league regular season.

The most shocking part: Purple was leading 14-11.

The least shocking part: The final score was 15-14.

Kidding aside, both teams played a heck of a game. Green is a force to be reckoned with – especially when both Logan and Nathan are the field. This tall, dynamic, tall, athletic (did I mention tall?) duo is nearly unstoppable in the deep space. And with the late addition of Kaylen to their roster, Green reinforces their already stacked FMP roster. These players were shredding up the popper space and finding the much needed continues for Green’s offense.

Now onto Purple. Admittedly, Purple relied a lot on its handler core for this game, but that is unsurprising when you have such a powerful trio behind the disc. Dustin, Brad, and Ricardo were critical in keeping Purple’s offense alive and played pivotal roles in its zone as well. Dustin was even told that he could no longer throw assists because we simply couldn’t fit another tally on the stats sheet… (A rule that Brad enforced by dropping a perfectly thrown pass into the end zone).

But that is not the only thing that Purple had going for them – when the stall count got high, the Purple handlers relied on the speed and perseverance of Devon and Harin who somehow always found a way to get open. In addition, Angela shined bright and impressed us all with a sick toe-in catch on the sideline.

Purple really found it’s groove in this game, and if we can just figure out how to seal the deal, Purple may do a lot better than everyone predicted.

P.S. The MVP of the game goes to Mo, who unfortunately cannot play with us, but was there to cheer us on, give great high-fives, and most importantly, take stats (so I don’t have to).
