What can we say folks… it’s Florida in July. The ‘Teez came with the numbers yesterday, boasting not just a full line of folks, but even having a few MMP subs available! With the return of our Captain Jenna, the vibes were immediately strong.
We opened the game on defense and threw a surprisingly decent zone headed by Van, Jenna, and Evan in the cup. That said, Mandela made some phenomenal popping cuts and Dheeraj/Nevin were very calm in the backfield. Despite losing the first point, we forced a number of risky throws and the zone improved as the point went on. As we locked in, some on point defense from Van led to a quick turn, and Matt Stock was slinging assists left and right. Throw in the fact that Manny was HUGE and we were up with momentum until… Florida.
Enough Florida. We get it: it’s Rainesville right now. But can it not be Rainesville at 6pm on Wednesdays? Doesn’t rain then any other day. What do you have against us you swamp monster? WHAT HAVE WE DONE TO ENRAGE YOU? WHAT SACRIFICES MUST WE MAKE IN ORDER TO SEE THE SUN AGAIN?!?!
